Laura Sawosko released her 4th album in May 2007. This self entitled album features Grammy Award winning drummer, Dan Marfisi and Josh Neumann on the cello. Josh is currently on tour with Brandi Carlile. Stev Tyszka, who worked with Motown for 8 years, produced the album.

Laura's former band, Surrender Dorothy, opened for the 1999 Phoenix Lilith Fair and shared the stage with Sarah McLachlan and Sheryl Crow.

As a solo artist, she has toured the West Coast numerous times including San Francisco, Berkley, San Diego and Los Angeles. While in LA – she performed at The Knitting Factory next to the renowned Chinese Theatre.

While in Arizona, Laura performed at such venues as Hard Rock Cafe (Phoenix), The Martini Ranch in Scottsdale, Yucca Taproom with members from the Gin Blossoms, Fort McDowell Casino and opened for touring artists at The Kerr Culture Center in Scottsdale through Ticketmaster.

In 2005 Laura was voted "Best Female Solo Artist in Arizona" by Guitar and Keyboard City.

Laura has also composed the musical score for the Independent film, "An Intimate Friendship" by producer Angela Hughe, which also featured music by Melissa Etheridge. She later went on to record the piano score from the film, as well as composing additional tracks, for her solo piano album: Me, Myself and You. In 2007, five of Laura's piano tracks were included in the Tim Ashby film "Downsized".

After being featured numerous times as an artist on Good Morning Arizona and Arizona Midday, Laura was chosen to be the first artist for the PBS mini series, Inside The Artist's Mind. This documentary depicted what it entails to be a recording artist and revealed the story behind the musician.

The print media has recognized Laura's songwriting skills and raw vocals as well. She has been featured in local newsweeklies such as The New Times, Get Out, The Observer and S.L.A.M.

Today, three of her albums are available online through amazon.com and cdbaby.com, as well as iTunes.

Laura continues to be the forever "Underdog" as mentioned in her songs and refuses to compromise her integrity or vision for fleeting top 40 status.
